Utilising top down design methodologies in SolidWorks I was responsible for the design of the external covers, the door mechanism and LCD screen cable management and their interaction with the internal mechanical components.
Taking the design from the ID concept stage to CNC machined prototypes, I modelled and release 45 parts over a 4 month period working onsite and remotely.
The power of top down design meant that when the unit grew 20% in height the entire assembly and all the subsequent impacted parts took only 45 minutes to regenerate and rebuild.
